Person injured after car and motorcycle collide in Selwyn, Canterbury

A person has been flown to hospital after a car and motorcycle collided in Canterbury.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Downs Rd and Windwhistle Rd in Hororata, Selwyn, about 11.15am on Tuesday.

St John spokeswoman Ngaire Jones said a rescue helicopter flew one person to Christchurch Hospital in a moderate condition.

Emergency services are also attending two other crashes in Canterbury.

Two cars collided on the corner of Park St and West St in Ashburton about 12.10pm. No-one was injured in the crash.

About 10 minutes later, a truck hit two cars on Brougham St (State Highway 76) in Christchurch, a police spokesman said.

Jones said one person was taken to Christchurch Hospital with minor injuries.
